About our name: Starr Walker. Odd name. Ever wonder about that? Some people think it's a little new age, but that couldn't be further from the truth. You see, Mary Schrick designs all the Starr Walker Products, which makes a lot of sense when you learn about her background. Mary is a native Oklahoman-a truly native Oklahoman, a voting member of the Cherokee Tribe. Her Cherokee grandmothers taught her a lot about healing-what herbs to use for this and that, foods to eat-or not eat-when certain conditions are present. Mary's grandmothers passed on a lot of the natural healing arts, and she was grateful and knew she should honor that healing heritage. So, when Mary started making products for the public, she made them the best she could-all premium ingredients, natural ingredients, with no binders, fillers or excipients. And when it came time to name her products, she honored her grandmothers again, by using their names: Starr and Walker.
